Movie Review: Captain America: Civil War is the live adaptation of one of Marvel Comics’ most discussed issues – Civil War. The film illustrates themes such as taking responsibility and consequences, paths of vengeance and the importance of perspectives between individuals. The third installment of the Captain America franchise strikes as a handsome fiesta of strong performances, fantastic action sequences and memorable scenes that will leave Marvel fans and film buffs breathless. The Russo Brothers return as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s (MCU) best directors producing an action-packed and emotion-filled film that can be a strong contender to be the best comic book films against Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The entire main cast gave great performances and some stood out much more, highlighting Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Sebastian Stan, as they give one of their best performances in the MCU. Besides that, the highly anticipated first live introduction of Black Panther portrayed by Chadwick Boseman was simply fantastic and it certainly lived up to the hype, he brought a fierce and ruthless flavor to the Avengers which I adored. Not to forget, another long-waited debut of Tom Holland‘s Spiderman had us fans worried, but instead it had me pumping and smiling, it is the best cinematic portrayal of Spiderman since Toby Maguire’s version (excluding Spider-Man 3 because we had no idea what happened there.) YES, I was in tears of joy, Marvel finally got it right on Spiderman’s tone, attitude and fighting spirit! I will definitely be excited for Spiderman: Homecoming in the future :D. The most praiseworthy point of the film is definitely the phenomenal stuntwork and fight sequences, it is probably the best stuntwork I have seen in the entire MCU and even in action movies this year. Why the movie worked so much was not just a bunch of good-looking superheroes punching each other, but the psychological drama in between them, the strong banter and interactions against each other is the reason why this film is so much special than another formulated Marvel film. Due to how many films have established these characters, they have now a much stronger character development that makes me truly worried about the dissemblance of the Avengers and possible danger of their lives. In my opinion, Captain America: Civil War is not only one of the best superhero films ever, but also one of the best action films in recent years.

Due to the review being too long, I decided not to highlight on too much of the actors such as Paul Rudd, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, they all did pretty awesome and extremely entertaining. A family movie or a squad outing, this is definitely worth your time if you love Marvel films or a good fun action flick! Get Popcorn and Get Comfy, this is Captain Popcorn!
